Background

Middlesex University, a leading institution in public research, faced challenges in managing its assets across multiple departments and campuses. With various laboratories, equipment, and facilities dispersed throughout the university, tracking, and maintaining these assets efficiently was a large undertaking. In response, the university alongside Claremore Mechanical Services and Aqua Compliance Services sought a comprehensive solution to streamline asset management processes while ensuring safety and compliance standards were upheld.

Objective

The primary objective of implementing the Zeta Safe Asset Labelling System alongside its legionella risk assessments was to enhance the university’s ability to manage and monitor its assets effectively.

The system aimed to provide a centralised platform for asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and compliance management, thereby improving operational cost-effective efficiency and safety standards across all departments and facilities.

Implementation

Aqua Compliance Services worked closely with Claremore Mechanical and Middlesex University to customise the system to meet the specific needs and requirements of the site.

Following the customisation, Aqua Compliance Services undertook the task of labelling over 2000 assets, whilst logging and integrating the assets into our current risk assessment format to ensure continuity of reporting was consistent throughout the document seamlessly integrating into a planned preventive maintenance programme.
