Newly installed or modified closed water systems aren't sparkling clean to begin with. During installation, pipework often collects corrosion products, debris grease and even microbiological fouling. And don't forget all the dust, dirt and residues from cutting oils or flux. BSRIA-compliant velocity flushing and system cleaning
We follow the BSRIA BG29:2021 guidance to deliver flushing and cleaning that meets the highest standards for commissioning. That includes a velocity flush using temporary pumps to achieve the correct flow rates and remove particulate matter, silt and construction debris from the system. Whether you're dealing with thin-walled carbon steel pipes or larger closed circuits, our experts will get it into tip-top condition.
Thorough chemical cleaning and biocide dosing
Once flushed, your system may need additional chemical cleaning agents, such as acidic or chelant-based cleaners, to remove corrosion deposits and provide a clean metal surface, which helps with efficient energy transfer. We also use biocide dosing to eliminate microbiological contamination, biofilm build-up and the risk of bacterial fouling developing before or after handover. Every product is selected based on your system’s materials and condition.
